~ REVIEW ~
4 STARS

I can say that I enjoyed reading this sequel than the first book although I find the pacing a bit slow despite the alternate point of views but that is one of the reasons that makes the book an interesting read.  It was kind of a downer reading this book because of what Cora was experiencing (and the others as well especially Finn), more like heartbreaking.

The history background was interesting and it was good to finally found out somethings that weren't mentioned from the last book but I probably got a little overload with the information despite how the author made it want to seem more interesting. Still it was very interesting. The concept was unique.

One think I also like about this book is that you could feel the emotions of the characters as it is your own especially their struggles. Cora's character made a great improvement than the last one although I wish she did more.

Despite how the author portrayed Giovanni and getting to like him, I'm more on team Finn all the way. Even if Finn did not make a really good/wish decision although you'll get to understand his reasons but still... I am not or will ever be a fan of love triangles or quadrangles or whatever exist today in these kind of romance themes (but there are a few of exceptions *wags eyebrows*)  I don't like it when there has to be another person in the story when there should be no need for  it.

Well, even if I mentioned that, I can't help but read it. I can't wait for the last book in the series. But I need more Finn and Cora.

About the Author
Tracy Clark is a young-adult writer because she believes teens deserve to know how much they matter and that regardless of what they’re going through, they aren’t alone. In other words, she writes books for her teen self.
She grew up a “Valley Girl” in Southern California but now lives in her home state of Nevada, in a small town at the base of the Sierra Foothills. Her two children teach her the art of distraction and are a continuous source of great dialogue. She’s an unapologetic dog person who is currently owned by a cat.
Tracy was the recipient of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Work in Progress Grant. A two-time participant in the prestigious Nevada SCBWI Mentor Program where she was lucky enough to be mentored by bestselling author, Ellen Hopkins, who taught her so much about the art of writing and cured her of her ellipsis addiction.
Her debut novel was inspired by her enchantment with metaphysics as a teen, seeing it as the real magic in life. Tracy is a part-time college student, a private pilot, and an irredeemable dreamer.
