Through Fire & Sea
Release Date: 05/05/15
Entangled Teen
Summary from Goodreads:
Mirror mirror, hear my call…

In the Fire world, seventeen-year-old Leah is the illegitimate daughter of one of the realm's most powerful lords. She's hot-blooded—able to communicate with the tempestuous volcano gods that either bless a civilization or destroy it. But then Leah discovers she's a Caller, gifted with the unique—and dangerous—ability to “call” her Otherselves in mirror worlds. And her father will do anything to use her powers for his own purposes.

In the Water world, Holly nearly drowns when she sees—and interacts with—Leah, a mirror image of herself. She’s rescued by Ryan, a boy from school with a secret he’d die to protect. Little do they know, his Otherself is the son of a powerful volcano god at war in the Fire world…and he’s about to fall.

As Leah and Holly's lives intersect, the Fire and Water worlds descend into darkness. The only way to protect the mirror worlds is to break every rule they've ever known. If they don’t, the evil seeping through the mirrors will destroy everything—and everyone—they love…

~ REVIEW ~
5 STARS

This was the first book of the author I've read and I'm glad to say I enjoyed it. It includes the elements but what is unique that it represents the worlds and the true world as well. It also has dragons and merfolk in it. I can't wait to see the other worlds.

The story is kind of dragging but it would be worth it. It's told in dual perspective of Leah and Holly, who are both the same person butjust from different worlds. I like reading the both of them. They may be the same person but they are totally different except of course their soul mate is like them which I really liked the most.

Dear author, I want Q to die. I have never as much wanted an antagonist to die like her. It may be over the top but I really hate her.

I will try not to spoil anything but I was kind of heartbroken about Leah then I kind of changed my mind (you'll know what I mean once you've read it). I felt sorry for her at the same time I liked how she helps Holly even if she envies her.

I can't see how the story goes. I'm hoping we get to see the otherselves of Leah and I wonder how she will be once she find out about that thing.

I liked the sweet relationship between Ryan and Holly not to say I didn't like Leah and Gideon but there wasn't much interaction despite a reason for that. Holly's also more of an idiot compared to Leah with regards to her situation. Still, I'll give her some points because of her bravery.

What other world is next I wonder? It's really interesting especially that tidbit in the ending and obviously this is a cliffhanger, well, in Leah's part anyway.

It's not over till they stop their enemy and I have feeling Leah would play the most important role out of her otherselves.
